MAY 2007
VILLAGE PUMP & THE LAMB.
The small but beautifully marked team are still pushing the project on to make the pump an up to date venue for all sorts of entertainment and arts. Lots of bands are using the building to practice and run gigs. We are looking into the possibility of extending the building to include our own toilets and a back stage room for storage etc. As soon as we finalise the plans we will put a copy on show in the pump.

EVENTS AT THE PUMP.
The first night of  THE VILLAGE PUMP FOLK CLUB was not well attended. Those of us that did go along had a nice night, but for this to continue we need more performers and audience to come along. We have been asked by so many people to bring regular folk nights back to the pump WHERE WERE YOU? Next night is this Saturday, 19th May, thereafter the third Saturday of each month (not July, there’s some festival on that week-end). By the publication date of next VPNews we should know if these nights will go on after the festival.

The next SONIC SANCTUARY night at the pump is on Saturday 26th May at 8-00pm. The line up for this night is well up to the high standard set by their previous shows. The line up will be A NEAT SCIENCE, THE HYSTERICAL INJURY, SMOG MONSTER and ALEXANDER THOMAS. Four top class acts for just £4-00. For more information go to www.myspace.com/sonicsanctuary
